American Abdullah Mason registered a fifth round technical knockout win over Jeremiah Nakathila from Namibia at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, United States of America (USA) on Sunday morning, South African time.
This fight, which was elevated to main bout following the collapse of Keyshawn Davis’ duel with Edwin de Los Santos after Davis failed to make the required weight, was stopped early in the fifth round due to a deep cut above Nakathila’s left eye something which forced the ringside doctor to halt the proceedings.
Apparently, the Namibian told the ringside doctor that he could no longer see clearly because of the injured eye.
