A second meeting between former world champion Sivenathi ‘Special One’ Nontshinga and Regie Suganob from the Philippines is on the cards.

Following his second round win over Sunday Kiwale in November last year, Nontshinga, a two-time International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-flyweight champion, has now been ordered to face off against Suganob in a world title elimination bout.

Defending his IBF junior-flyweight crown in KuGompo City almost three years ago, Nontshinga outpointed Suganob at the International Convention Centre (ICC). Nontshinga is rated fifth by the IBF while Suganob is two places above him.

“I received the email and order last night (Monday). Suganob’s side have accepted and so have we. I called Sive late last night (Monday) to inform him, and he said yes off the bat, very excited at the rematch. My feeling is simple, we beat him before, we will beat him again,” NO DOUBT Management director Colin Nathan revealed.

The 27-year-old Nontshinga gunning to become a three-time world champion. With the date and the venue still not decided, Nathan said: “There are a lot of things and factors that need to come into play, including the negotiations and terms. Right now, I’m exploring all options. But there is something up my sleeve.”
