Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise unveiled Bafana Bafana star midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng as their new player on Thursday.

Mofokeng has signed a four-year contract with an option for an additional season after he joined the Belgians from Betway Premiership champions Orlando Pirates.

“I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream to play in Europe and to begin our Champions League qualifying campaign soon,” Mofokeng said.

“The past year has been very special, with the league title, my first FIFA World Cup with South Africa and now this important step in my career. I hope to continue developing as a player here. Together with the team, we will do everything we can to compete for trophies ”

The 21-year-old Mofokeng flew straight from the United States of America (USA) after Bafana were knocked by Canada out of the World Cup finals.
