Table-topping Orlando Pirates showed their ruthless side as they whipped Kruger United 4-0 in a Betway Premiership match at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Tuesday evening.

Pirates shot to the lead after Ghampani Lungu converted a penalty in the fourth minute. Match referee, Moreki Lekwape, awarded the Buccaneers a penalty after Kamogelo Sebelebele was fouled inside the box.

Eight minutes into the second half, Boitumelo Radiopane increased the Buccaneers’ lead following a pass from Oswin Appollis.

Second half substitute, Yanela Mbuthuma, who came in for Radiopane in the 62nd minute, made it 3-0 in the 79th minute off an Appollis pass. And Mbuthuma completed his brace in referee’s added time off a Lebone Seema assist. 

Meanwhile, Durban City and Stellenbosch FC played to a goalless draw in another Betway Premiership encounter held at Durban’s Chatsworth Stadium.
