Kaizer Chiefs have been bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup after they were beaten 3-2 on penalties by Red Arrows from Zambia in a preliminary round encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Friday evening.
The match was decided on spot kicks after the two sides had played to a 1-1 draw on aggregate. Amakhosi had beaten Arrows 1-0 in Friday’s second leg match and the Zambians beat Chiefs by the same scoreline last weekend.
Chiefs won Friday’s match after Bradley Cross headed in past Arrows goalkeeper, Charles Kalumba, following a free kick from Mfundo Vilakazi in the 66th minute.
