Mamelodi Sundowns strolled into the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup following a 4-0 drubbing of GladAfrica Championship log-leaders Richards Bay FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, Durban, on Friday evening.

Bradley Ralani, who joined the Brazilians from Cape Town City during the January transfer window, scored on debut when he broke the deadlock in the 24th minute. Ralani netted after Natal Rich Boyz goalkeeper Malcolm Jacobs parried the ball straight on to his path.

Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck doubled the lead with a header from Thabiso Kutumela’s corner in the 54th minute.

Second half substitute Pavol Safranko, who came on for Kutumela, made it 3-0 in the 70th minute after he headed in Khuliso Mudau’s cross.

Namibia-born marksman Peter Shalulile made sure that the matter was beyond the Natal Rich Boyz’s reach when he headed in two minutes from full-time.
