Swallows FC survived a scare before they flew to the last-16 of the Nedbank Cup after they beat GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting 2-1 in a first round match at the Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Mbombela side shocked the Soweto club when they scored first through Sibusiso Fakude in the 20th minute and hang on to their lead until the end of the first half.
Clearly, Swallows coach Dylan Kerr said something to his boys at half-time as they came back stronger and their efforts were rewarded with a goal from Yagan Sasman in the 48th minute. Sasman’s Cape Town homeboy Ruzaigh Gamildien netted Swallows’ winning goal in the 53rd minute.
