Maritzburg United avenged last week’s loss to SuperSport United beating them 2-1 in a DStv Premiership clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Team of Choice’s goals were score by Friday Samu on the stroke of half-time and Rowan Human in the 70th minute. Jesse Donn netted for Matsatsantsa a Pitori in the 55th minute.
This was sweet revenge for the Team of Choice, who were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Matsatsantsa last week.
Meanwhile, Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs played to a goalless draw in another Premiership match played at the Cape Town Stadium.
