Goalkeeper Andile Dlamini is satisfied with how Banyana Banyana’s preparations for Friday’s African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria have gone.
Banyana go into the Algeria match following a humiliating 3-0 loss to Zambia’s Copper Queens at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka last Saturday.
“The mood in camp is fantastic, the players coming from overseas are bringing a new vibe in camp. We are gelling quite well as a team,” Dlamini said.
“We have been working extremely hard because we know what is at stake, which is collecting maximum points, making sure that we do our country proud. What we are promising is to do our best.”
Banyana’s overseas-based players Refiloe Jane, Linda Motlhalo, Lebohang Ramalepe, Thembi Kgatlana, Karabo Dhlamini, Kholosa Biyana, Nomvula Kgoale and Noko Matlou are already in camp.
“Mentally, the team is ready because we played a friendly against Zambia and it tested us mentally as well. We have learnt a lot from that friendly game and I know that we are capable of doing our country proud,” the 29-year-old Dlamini said.
