It was not a performance that Orlando Pirates would boast about, but a win is a win as the Buccaneers laboured to a 1-0 win over Uthongathi FC in a Nedbank Cup last-32 clash at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.
Malawian Gabadinho Mhango scored the only goal of the match following a pass from Deon Hotto in the 64th minute to dump the GladAfrica Championship side out of the Nedbank Cup.
Meanwhile, TS Sporting beat TS Galaxy 5-4 on penalties following a goalless draw while JDR Stars defeated University of Pretoria 2-1.
