Kaizer Chiefs have been found guilty of using unregistered players when they beat Sekhukhune 2-0 United at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, last December.

As a result of being found guilty of having unregistered players Aden McCarthy and Mduduzi Shabalala in their team sheet, Amakhosi were fine R200 000 half of which was suspended for a year provided they are not found guilty of the same offence.

Meanwhile, Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Zola Majavu revealed that McCarthy and Shabalala were both fined R10 000, which was wholly suspended for 12 months on condition that they are not found guilty of the same offence.
