Richards Bay FC have been promoted from the GladAfrica Championship to the Premier Division after a goalless draw with Cape Town Spurs at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban, on Sunday afternoon.
The Natal Rich Boyz finished the season on top of the GladAfrica Championship standings with 54 points after winning 14 matches, drawing 12 and lost four games.
They are now the fifth KwaZulu-Natal club in the Premier Division. AmaZulu, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Royal AM are other KZN sides in the elite league.
Meanwhile, the University of Pretoria finished second with 52 points following a goalless draw with Hungry Lions at the Tuks Stadium.
