The All Blacks finally came good as they beat the Springboks 35-23 in front of 61 519 people at the Emirates Airline Park Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday evening.

The All Blacks took a 3-0 lead after Richie Mo’unga converted a penalty in the 25th minute. After some beautiful movements, Sam Cane crossed the try line to make it 8-0. Mo’unga missed the conversion. 

The All Blacks pushed forward and Samisoni Taukei’aho scored a try in the 34th minute and Mo’unga successfully converted for a 15-0 lead.

Bok centre Lukhanyo Am scored the South Africans’ first try in the 36th minute and Handre Pollard successfully converted to make it 15-7. 

The Boks were awarded a penalty on the stroke of half-time and Pollard converted to make it 15-10.  

The Boks had a bright start at the beginning of the second half and were awarded a penalty, which Pollard converted in the 46th minute. 

The All Blacks received a penalty and Mo’unga converted to take the score to 18-13. Mo’unga converted yet another penalty to stretch the All Blacks’ lead to 21-13 in the 58th minute. 

The Boks replied immediately with Makazole Mapimpi’s try following Damian Willemse’s long pass in the 59th minute. Pollard converted to make the score 21-20. 

Beauden Barrett was yellow carded and Pollard converted from the resultant penalty to let the Boks lead in the 68th minute.

David Havili silenced the home crowd when he scored in the 74th minute and Mo’unga successfully converted to make it 28-23. 

The All Blacks made it 33-23 through Scott Barrett in the 79th minute. Mo’unga converted for a 35-23 win.
