Orlando Pirates put the disappointment of losing to Chippa United behind them as they defeated Royal AM 1-0 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday evening.
The match started in a frenetic pace with both teams attacking each other. The Buccaneers finally scored when Deon Hotto netted in the 34th minute.
This was the second win for Bucs this term having beaten Swallows FC by the same scoreline in their season opener more than 10 days ago. Pirates have now won two matches, drawn once and lost once.
On the other hand, this was Thwihli Thwahla’s second successive loss having been beaten 3-1 by Stellenbosch FC in the Cape Winelands last Saturday. They have won twice and lost twice so far this season.
