Mamelodi Sundowns trounced Stellenbosch FC 3-0 in a DStv Premiership encounter at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilians took the lead as early as the second minute when Neo Maema netted following the Stellies defence’s failure to clear the ball.
The Tshwane giants pushed forward in search of a second goal and Peter Shalulile made it 2-0 in the 41st minute. This was the Namibian-born striker’s fourth goal of the season.
Chilean Marcelo Allende, who was making his Sundowns debut, scored the Brazilians’ third goal in the 76th minute.
