Siphosethu Mvula’s invasion of Poland ended in tears as he was floored by Bekman Soylybayev from Kazakhstan on Saturday evening.

Soylybayev stopped Mvula in the seventh round to win the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental junior-lightweight title at the MOSiR Hall in Lublin.

This was the second defeat for Mvula, a former South African junior-bantamweight champion, in his last three fights.

On the other hand, Soylybayev from Almaty in Kazakhstan has won his last three fights. Soylybayev has now improved his record to 15 victories (six knockouts) and a loss while Mvula dropped to 16 wins (seven stoppages), five losses and a draw.
