African champions Banyana Banyana have been drawn in Group G of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Coach Desiree Ellis’ Banyana were drawn in the same group as Sweden, Italy and Argentina during a draw held in Auckland, New Zealand, on Saturday.
The month-long World Cup tournament is going to begin on 20 July and end on 20 August 2023.
This is Banyana’s second appearance at the World Cup finals having first participated in the 2019 tournament.
