In-form Mamelodi Sundowns maintained their 100 percent record in CAF Champions League Group B after they beat TP Mazembe 2-1 at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, on Saturday afternoon.
Peter Shalulile and Lyle Lakay scored to make sure that the Brazilians won their third successive match while Tresor Mputu netted for the Ravens.
The win means that the 2016 African champions broke Mazembe’s 100 percent record at the TP Mazembe Stadium in the CAF Champions League. Prior to meeting the Brazilians, the Ravens hadn’t lost a Champions League match at the venue since 2009.
