France’s winning streak continued as they won their 12th consecutive match after they beat the Springboks 30-26 in a Test match in Marseille on Saturday evening.

The Boks’ second half rally after the Les Bleus had led 16-10 at interval came to nothing as they lost their second successive match on tour following their 19-16 defeat by Ireland last weekend.

Both sides finished the match with 14 players after the Boks’ Pieter-Steph du Toit and French captain Antoine Dupont were sent off in the 12th and 47th minutes respectively.

The Les Bleus, who beat the Boks for the first time in 13 years, scored two tries through Cyril Baille and Sipili Galatea with Thomas Ramos succeeding with one conversion and six penalties while the Boks’ tries came from their skipper Siya Kolisi and Kurt-Lee Arendse.

Cheslin Kolbe and Faf de Klerk succeeded with their conversions. Kolbe succeeded with two penalties while De Klerk and Damian Willemse each converted a penalty.
