Australia lifted their hopes of making it to the last-16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals following a 1-0 win over Tunisia at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar, on Saturday afternoon.

A brilliant header by Mitchell Duke from a Craig Goodwin cross in the 23rd minute gave the Socceroos the much-needed victory.

It’s a good win for the Australians, who were beaten 4-1 by defending world champions France in their opening match. On the other hand, the Carthage Eagles’ World Cup opener against Denmark ended in a goalless draw.

The Socceroos are now going to play against Denmark in their final group stages match while the Carthage Eagles face France.
