The South African featherweight title has returned to boxing trainer Khangelani Jack’s stable after his boxer Zolisa Batyi won it back on Friday evening.
It was mission accomplished as Batyi stopped Jeff Magagane in the second round during their fight at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego, Polokwane, in Limpopo.
This was sweet victory for Jack as it was also a revenge for his boxer Asanda Gingqi, who lost to Magagane at the Portuguese Hall in Turffontein, Johannesburg, in September.
It was also the second time that Batyi got a chance to challenge for the same SA featherweight title this year. He first challenged for it and suffered a points loss to Gingqi at the East London International Convention Centre (ICC) just over six months ago.
