France are going to clash against Argentina in the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, on Sunday.
France reached the final of the global showpiece after they beat Morocco 2-0 in a semi-final match at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, on Wednesday evening while the Argentines’ whipped Croatia 3-0 on Tuesday.
Les Bleus took the lead in the fifth minute through Theo Hernandez’s strike off a good move by Antoine Griezmann on the right.
And Kolo Muani doubled the defending world champions’ lead when he beat Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou off a Kylian Mbappe assist in the 79th minute.
The Atlas Lions fought hard during the match and were unlucky not to score as they raided the Les Bleus’ territory on numerous occasions. They are now going to face Croatia in a third place play-off on Saturday.
