Rugby World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi is going to swim out of the Sharks tank and join French club Racing 92 after the 2023 Rugby World Cup tournament, which is going to be held in France later this year.

The 31-year-old Springbok captain said that his move from the Sharks to Racing 92 will make it possible for him to be closer to his family.

“The move to Racing 92 will enable me to spend more time with my family, which is something that I have longed for and this prospect certainly played a significant part in my decision-making,” Kolisi said.

The loose forward from Zwide in Gqeberha led the Springboks to World Cup glory in 2019. He joined the Sharks from Western Province in 2021.
