Much-maligned captain Temba Bavuma was in fine form as the Proteas beat the Netherlands by eight wickets in a one day international (ODI) match played at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Ekurhuleni, on Friday evening.
Cape Town-born Bavuma knocked an unbeaten 90 runs after facing 79 deliveries as the Proteas scored 190 for two with 20 overs to spare. Aiden Markram scored his sixth half century as he was also unbeaten on 51 from 39 balls.
Meanwhile, the Dutch were bowled out for 189 in 46.1 overs with Tabraiz Shamsi and Sisanda Magala taking three wickets each after leaking 25 and 37 runs respectively.
