Cape Town Spurs are on the brink of getting promoted to the Premier Division after they beat Casric Stars 1-0 in a PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Soon after the Urban Warriors were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of their striker Ashley Cupido, they broke the deadlock through Morne Nel’s goal in the 73rd minute.
The 27-year-old Nel side footed his shot from outside the box to beat Casric Stars goalkeeper Ludwe Mpakumpaku and gave the Urban Warriors their third win in three matches.
