Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has named her squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, which is going to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand next month.

The month long tournament will start on Thursday, 20 July and come to an end on Sunday, 20 August. Banyana open the World Cup tournament with a clash against Sweden on Sunday, 23 July at 06h30, then face Argentina five days later at 01h30. Their last Group G match is against Italy on Wednesday, 02 August at 08h30. 

Banyana are going to be captained by Sassuolo FC midfielder Refiloe Jane with Andile Dlamini and Thembi Kgatlana being her deputies.
