Banyana Banyana lost once again as they were defeated 2-0 by the United States women’s national team in a second international friendly match played at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, in the US early on Monday morning (South African time).
The Americans took the lead when Trinity Rodman beat Banyana goalkeeper Andile Dlamini with a first time shot following an Alex Morgan cross from the right hand side in the 18th minute.
Emily Sonnett ensured that the Americans win again as she extended their lead four minutes into the second half.
Meanwhile, this was Banyana’s second successive loss to the Americans having been beaten 3-0 in the first match on Friday last week.
