Orlando Pirates own the bragging rights after they beat their arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, 2-1 in a Betway Premiership match at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers shot to the lead after Yanela Mbuthuma found the back of the net in the 24th minute following a deflection from Amakhosi’s Thabo Moloisane. It took Chiefs just five minutes to get an equaliser as Bucs goalminder, Sipho Chaine, gifted Pule Mmodi with a goal.
With the two teams having been tied at 1-1 at the end of the first half, the Buccaneers regained their lead through in-form Tshepang Moremi’s goal 10 minutes into the second stanza from a Thapelo Mokobodi assist.
