Orlando Pirates’ journey in the CAF Champions League came to a screeching halt after Botswana side Jwaneng Galaxy dumped them out of the competition.
Galaxy beat the Buccaneers 5-4 on penalties at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Friday evening.
This match was decided on spot kicks after the two sides had played to a 1-1 draw on aggregate.
After losing 1-0 to Galaxy in Botswana last weekend, the Soweto giants defeated their opponents by the same scoreline through Evidence Makgopa’s goal.
