TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has revealed that Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu is yet to apologise to Bernard Parker whose leg he broke following a horrendous tackle on Wednesday evening.

Zungu was red carded by match referee Masixole Bambiso following the bad tackle. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder seemed unrepentant as he remonstrated with the referee.

“I can confirm that Bernard Parker has suffered a leg break and he will undergo surgery. But he’s such a professional and Legend that he’s in good spirits. He’s not sulking or feeling any animosity towards Zungu. Parker is not that guy, he’s not a hater,” Sukazi said on Radio 2000’s Game On show.

“But me personally, I was dissapointed by Bongani Zungu’s reaction after the incident. He was still remonstrating even after seeing that Parker had broken his leg. I really didn’t expect that from him even if the tackle was not intentional.

“As far as I know ,Bongani Zungu hasn’t apologised.  I haven’t heard anything about that. Even his club hasn’t reached out to us. But we are focused on supporting Parker , whether he decides to continue playing or not. Parker is an asset to SA football and will always have a home here at TS Galaxy.”

The Rockets won the match 5-4 on penalties after they played to a 2-2 in 120 minutes of football. As a result, the Rockets dumped the Brazilians out of the Carling Knockout competition.
