Lamontville Golden Arrows have dumped Cape Town City out of the Carling Knockout after they beat them 3-1 at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale on Saturday afternoon.
Tebogo Tlolane, Nduduzo Sibiya and Knox Mutizwa netted for Abafana Bes’thende while Taahir Goedeman scored for the Citizens.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC also advanced to the next round of the Carling Knockout after they defeated Chippa United 2-1 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
All three goals were scored in the second half with Andre de Jong and Kgaogelo Sekgota netting for Stellies and the Chilli Boys’ goal came from Menzi Ndwandwe.
