Bafana Bafana star Lyle Foster is excited after he signed a new contract with English Premier League side Burnley FC on Thursday.
The new five-year deal is going to keep the 23-year-old Johannesburg-born Foster at Turf Moor until 2028.
“I’m very happy to stay here. It’s a club with very good people and I have really enjoyed working here and I’m pleased to extend my stay,” Foster said.
“The supporters, Turf Moor, everything here. The way we organise ourselves and our standards is something I fell in love with. It’s a club that pushes towards excellence and that’s something I want to be a part of.”
Foster, who was once on the books of Orlando Pirates, joined Burnley from Belgian side KC Westerlo earlier this year.
