Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies reclaimed the CAF Women’s Champions League trophy after they humiliated Moroccan side Sporting Club Casablanca 3-0 in the final played at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo, Ivory Coast, on Sunday evening.

Banyana Ba Style took the lead in the 21st minute after Refilwe Tholakele converted a penalty for her fourth goal of the competition. Sundowns were awarded the penalty after Casablanca captain Aicha Samake had handled the ball inside the box.

Lesotho international Boitumelo Rabale doubled Banyana Ba Style’s lead when she netted with a grass cutter from outside the box in the 24th minute.

Tholakele, a Botswana international, scored her fifth goal of the tournament when she made it 3-0 in the 78th minute following a good cross from Lebohang Ramalepe.

Meanwhile, Sundowns and Banyana Banyana goalminder Andile Dlamini won the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award after she kept four clean sheets in four matches.
