Swallows FC’s drawing streak continued when they drew 1-1 with Maritzburg United in a DStv Premiership match at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening.
Travis Graham gave the Team of Choice the lead in the 49th minute. It didn’t take long for the Dube Birds to equalise as they scored through Sifiso Hlanti in the 60th minute.
This was Swallows’ 16th draw this season while it was the Team of Choice’s seventh.
The Birds have now reached the 40-point mark after eight wins, 16 stalemates and a loss. On the other hand, the Team of Choice have 25 points following six wins, seven draws and 11 losses.
The point earned in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands moved Swallows to fourth on the Premiership standings while the Team of Choice are still 13th on the log.
