Cape Town City striker Khanyisa Mayo has made it into the final 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for two international friendly matches against Andorra and Algeria later this month.
Mayo, last season’s joint top goalscorer with Mamelodi Sundowns’ Peter Shalulile, was initially not in the 32-man preliminary squad announced by Bafana coach Hugo Broos last week.
Broos’ boys play the first friendly match against Andorra at the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba, Algeria, on Thursday, 21 March. Five days later, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medallists clash against Algeria at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
