Chippa United won for the first time in three matches as they whipped Cape Town Spurs 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday evening.

The Chilli Boys, who went into this match after losing two successive matches, led 1-0 at half-time through Sinoxolo Kwayibe’s 26th minute goal. 

Four minutes before full-time, Kayden Francis scored the Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys’ second goal which ensured victory for them. 

Meanwhile, Moroka Swallows and Orlando Pirates played to a 1-1 draw in a Soweto derby at the Dobsonville Stadium.

The Dube Birds took flight when  Lindokuhle Mtshali gave them the lead in the 27th minute. Patrick Maswanganyi equalised for the Buccaneers six minutes into the second half.
