South African football is under a dark cloud following the passing away of Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs on Wednesday evening.
The 24-year-old Fleurs became a victim of South Africa’s high crime rate as he was shot dead during a car hijacking in Johannesburg.
Fleurs joined Kaizer Chiefs on a two-year contract with an option to renew for one year from SuperSport United last October having played 70 times for Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
