Chippa United co-coach Thabo September felt relieved after the Chilli Boys beat struggling Cape Town Spurs 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday evening.
The Chilli Boys, who went into this match after losing two successive matches, scored goals through Sinoxolo Kwayiba and Kayden Francis.
“We are happy with the three points at home. It was a tough one. We needed really to push hard. Cape Town Spurs played well,” September said.
It was indeed a major relief for the former SuperSport United skipper as the Chilli Boys had gone two matches without scoring before they met the Urban Warriors.
“The last two games in the league we didn’t score. The last time we scored, it was here when we had a 3-0, now we got a 2-0. It’s good to be back scoring, we’ll build from that,” September remarked.
Meanwhile, the Chilli Boys are going to host Kaizer Chiefs at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Saturday afternoon.
