His next opponent might not have been named yet, but that has not stopped one-time world title hopeful Azinga ‘Golden Boy’ Fuzile from sweating buckets preparing for the bout, which is set to take place in two months’ time.

The 27-year-old Fuzile from Duncan Village in East London is scheduled to fight at a Golden Gloves tournament set for July in Cape Town.

“I’m training very hard for that fight even though my opponent is yet to be confirmed. I’m really happy that I will be fighting in July. This is a very good chance for me to return to world ratings, which is the plan,” Fuzile said.

The former South African featherweight champion, who lost to Japanese boxer Kenichi Ogawa in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior-lightweight title contest in November 2021, defeated Tanzanian boxer Emmanuel Amos Stephano at the Whittlesea Multipurpose Hall in Sada last December.

“My main aim is to fight for the world title again. Yes, I don’t know who my opponent is gonna be. I just hope that I will get a better opponent than the one I had in my last fight,” Fuzile remarked. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
