Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt is satisfied with how his players performed when they thrashed Tanzanian club Simba SC 4-0 in a first leg CAF Champions League quarter-final encounter at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Saturday evening.
A goal by Mulomowandau Mathoho, Samir Nurkovic’s brace and a strike from Leonardo Castro ensured that Chiefs have a comfortable lead going to next weekend’s second leg in Tanzania.
“Thought we did ok. I thought we created some good chances. Passing patterns were good,” Hunt said.
Amakhosi have done exceptionally well in the Champions League compared to how they are performing in the DStv Premiership. Chiefs are 10th on the Premiership standings.
“The Champions League is a much slower game, a predictable game. Maybe it suits the group of players I have here from a football perspective,. I’m proud of the team,” Hunt said.
