Unbeaten boxer Kaine “K9” Fourie is set for a clash against Siseko Makeleni as they headline a Boxing 5 tournament at the Box Camp in Booysens, Johannesburg, on Saturday, 13 July.

Fourie, who has won seven and drew two fights, and Makeleni clash in a vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) Continental Africa lightweight title fight.

The 22-year-old Fourie is trained by Gert Strydom, who said about his charge: “He’s sparring has been phenomenal and he just keeps on getting better and better. I see major improvement. He has been sparring with bigger guys and he is handling himself so nicely.”

Meanwhile, this is the same tournament where current South African heavyweight champion Shaun Potgieter is scheduled to fight against Malawian boxer Musa Ajibu in the main supporting bout over eight rounds.
