Orlando Pirates released former Bafana Bafana striker Kermit Erasmus and four other players on Friday afternoon as they deemed them surplus to requirements.
Gqeberha-born Erasmus, who turns 34 next month, didn’t get much game time at Pirates this past season having rejoined them from Mamelodi Sundowns in September 2022.
On the other hand, the Buccaneers have also got rid of Richard Ofori, Thabang Monare and Siyabonga Mpontshane.
