A desire to continue with his unblemished record is going to be the driving force when hard-hitting Shervantaigh Koopman faces American boxer Wendy Toussaint on Saturday next week.
Unbeaten in 13 fights, Koopman clashes with Toussaint in a vacant International Boxing Organisation Intercontinental junior-middleweight title contest at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park.
“Definitely, the plan is to win every fight. No boxer prepares to lose a fight. We prepare to bring everything to the fight to get that victory,” Koopman remarked.
With nine knockouts under his belt, Koopman, who turned 30 last month, has made it clear that his main aim is to go the distance.
“I’m preparing for the full 10 rounds. But if a knockout comes, I will accept it. Sometimes in the fight you see an opportunity and take it” Koopman said.
