Lamontville Golden Arrows’ bright start to the new season continued as they whipped Marumo Gallants 2-0 in a Betway Premiership match at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale on Saturday afternoon.
It looked like the first half was going to end goalless until Zimbabwean-born striker Knox Mutizwa netted for Abafana Bes’thende five minutes before the break.
Abafana Bes’thende increased their lead when Nduduzo Sibiya scored on the stroke of half-time.
Meanwhile, Polokwane City notched yet another win as they defeated newcomers Magesi FC 2-0 in another Betway Premiership tie at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium with goals from Puleng Marema and Sibusiso Tshabalala.
