Mamelodi Sundowns cruised to the group stages of the CAF Champions League following an 8-0 aggregate victory over Mbabane Swallows from eSwatini.

The Brazilians whipped Swallows 4-0 in a second leg match played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday evening. 

Kobamelo Kodisang, Malibongwe Khoza, Thembinkosi Lorch and Siphelele Mkhulise found the back of the net for the Tshwane giants. The Brazilians beat Swallows by the same score line in a first leg match played at the same Atteridgeville venue a week ago. 

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates reached the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time since the 2018/19 season after they beat Jwaneng Galaxy from Botswana 3-0 on aggregate. 

The Buccaneers defeated Galaxy 1-0 through Monnapule Saleng’s goal in a second leg encounter at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday evening. Pirates beat Galaxy 2-0 in the first leg played in Botswana last weekend.
