AmaZulu goalkeeper Veli Mothwa is going to captain Bafana Bafana during the upcoming COSAFA Cup tournament, which starts in Gqeberha on Tuesday.
Mothwa is going to be deputised by his teammate Siyethemba Sithebe and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck.
“I feel good to be captain. It’s gonna be a heavy responsibility, a good one also,” Mothwa said.
Bafana Bafana open the COSAFA Cup tournament against Botswana at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday (17h00). They then face Eswatini at the same venue on Friday (15h00). Their final Group A match is against Lesotho on Tuesday, 13 July, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (15h00).
