Kevin Lerena is set to make the next defence of his World Boxing Council (WBC) bridgerweight title against Polish opponent Kryzystof Wlodarczyk.

This followed after the WBC ordered Lerena to defend his title against the 45-year-old Wlodarczyk from Warsaw, Poland.

Lerena, who defeated Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Radchenko four months ago, will be making the second defence of his crown when he comes up against Wlodarczyk.

“The WBC have officially ordered me to defend against Kryzystof Wlodarczyk. I’m ready, I fear no challenge. I’m prepared to put it all on the line as always,” Lerena wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday evening.

Wlodarczyk is an experienced campaigner, having notched 66 wins with 45 knockouts, four losses and a draw. On the other hand, Lerena’s record stands at 31 victories with 15 stoppages and four losses.

“We’re talking about a combined 107 fights between us of which 98 of them are wins. This one promises nothing, but bombs and drama,” Lerena concluded.

The 33-year-old Lerena lost to Briton Lawrence Okolie at the Wembley Arena in London in July.
