Mozambique earned three points after they beat Malawi 2-0 in a COSAFA Cup encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Sunday evening.
There was no score in the first 45 minutes as both teams looked like they were still assessing each other.
The Mambas broke the deadlock in the 55th minute after Victor Junior converted a penalty. Francisco Simbine headed in Mambas’s second goal in the 68th minute.
