Mamelodi Sundowns have set up a CAF Champions League semi-final clash against Tunisian giants Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
The Brazilians reached the last eight of the competition after they beat Stade Malien from Mali 3-2 on aggregate having been beaten 2-0 in the second leg played at the 26 March Stadium in Bamako on Sunday evening.
Goals from Taddeus Nkeng Fomakwang and Haman Mandjan gave the Malians some hope, but Sundowns defended with all they had to ensure that they reached the semi-finals in four successive seasons.
Meanwhile, Esperance moved to the semi-finals after they beat Egyptian giants Al Ahly 4-2 on aggregate om Saturday evening.
