Mamelodi Sundowns will take a slender lead to Morocco next weekend after they defeated AS Far Rabat 1-0 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Sunday evening.
The goal that separated the two teams came from Aubrey Modiba’s well-taken free kick, which curled past AS Far goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti and kissed the net in the 37th minute.
The two sides are now scheduled to meet again in a second leg encounter, which is set for the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat next Sunday.
